Who we are

At Omega Safety we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to our website.  In particular, we want you to know that Omega Safety will not sell, rent or trade email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing or promotional purposes.  This Privacy Policy is to provide detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

Types of data we collect

Website Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your browser, they are used for security purposes and to keep track of movements and actions on our website. 

In accordance with the GDPR, we would like to inform you of the cookies we use on our website. 

  • XSRF-Token and hs cookies are for security purposes and will expire at the end of your browsing session.

  • SvSession cookies are a communication between Omega Safety and our site visitors and will expire after 3 days.

There are two types of cookies:

  • Session (Transient) cookies: These cookies are erased when you close your browser, and do not collect information from your computer. They typically store information in the form of a session identification that does not personally identify you as a user.

  • Persistent (Permanent or Stored) cookies: These cookies are stored on your hard drive until they expire (i.e. they are based on a set expiration date) or until you delete them. These cookies are used to collect identifying information about you as a user, such as web surfing behaviour or your preferences for a specific site.

Google Analytics

When someone visits https://www.omegasafety.co.uk we use Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for sample downloads and electronic communications, we collect personal information. We use that information for the following: - 

  • Keep you updated on our news

  • personalisation of content, business information or user experience

  • account set up and administration

  • delivering marketing and events communication

  • carrying out polls and surveys

  • internal research and development purposes

  • providing goods and services

 

We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We may use a third-party provider, MailChimp to deliver our newsletter.  We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.  For more information, please see MailChimp’s Privacy Notice.  You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of an of our emails or by emailing our Data Protection Officer dpo@oceandigi.co.uk

Processing your Personal Data

Your consent gives us the legal basis under which we process your personal data.

As we rely on your consent you can withdraw and manage your consent at any time.

Storage of Data

Your data is stored in line with GDPR legislation with security, technologies and procedures in place to protect your personal information, measure such as:

  • preventing unauthorised access, use, destruction or disclosure

  • ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery

  • restricting access to personal information

  • conducting privacy impact assessments in accordance with the law and our business policies
